Benefiting the Garden’s education programs and extraordinary global plant collections

Thank You All So Much!

Last week we gathered online and were able to raise $290,000 to support the Garden’s education programs and extraordinary global plant collections.

If you were unable to join us or would like to revisit any part of the program the recording is now available above.

Thank you again to you all for your support and to our sponsors for making Garden Feast 2021 a huge success. We hope to see you in the Garden soon!

With gratitude,

2021 Keynote

Abby Meyer

Abby Meyer is Executive Director of the U.S. office of Botanic Gardens Conservation International, based at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California.

Abby works to provide tools and information to build botanic garden plant conservation collections and programs. She tracks botanic garden progress toward the targets of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation and the parallel North American Botanic Garden Strategy for Plant Conservation.

Abby received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and went on to complete a Master’s in Public Horticulture Administration through the Longwood Graduate Program at the University of Delaware and Longwood Gardens. Prior to her work with BGCI, she was a Putnam Research Fellow at The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University where she developed new approaches for assessing the conservation value of living plant collections. Now in Los Angeles, Abby enjoys hiking and gardening with her husband Evan and their 4-year old daughter Violet.
