Food from a garden tastes good, adds to life’s joy, and can save money, but growing food in a garden is not the same skill as learning to eat well from that garden. In this class, local author and expert gardener Pam Peirce will show you how to turn your imagination of eating from a garden a reality. You will learn what to plant when, how to use the uneven production of a small garden, and learn about some delicious recipes that use what you can grow—year-round. Recipe handouts and links will be provided. Attendees can also purchase a signed copy of Golden Gate Gardening.

Pam Peirce is a San Francisco-based gardener, author, photographer, and lecturer. She is celebrating publication of the 4th (30th Anniversary) edition of her classic regional gardening book, Golden Gate Gardening. (It includes useful recipes.) Pam taught horticulture at City College of San Francisco for nearly 30 years and lectures widely on gardening and food issues.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
