About the event

Immerse yourself in nature while discovering the essence of clay with artists and educators Deb & Deb of Spark Ceramics. The workshop begins with fun activities to introduce basic handbuilding and surface design techniques using low fire white clay. Through a series of guided steps you will learn ways to sculpt simple flowers and use textural plants and grasses to make marks in clay. There will be time to work together as well as space to relax individually and allow the landscape to inspire your creative self-expression.

Each participant will select a handmade, glazed gift from Spark Ceramics that reflects the forms and techniques learned during the workshop. Choose a flower magnet, a nature impression tile or small vessel to take home as a reminder of your beautiful day in the garden. No experience necessary.
