About the event

Conserving the world’s plants depends on partnerships. Join the Garden’s curator, Ryan Guillou, as he shares his experiences partnering with Botanic Gardens Conservation International, and his trip to Kenya to help preserve its endangered flora. Botanical gardens play a key role in preserving plant diversity, and San Francisco’s cool foggy climate puts the Garden in a unique and important position to harbor cloud forest flora from around the world. Learn how this international partnership is contributing to plans for the development of a new Afromontane collection at the Garden, with photos of prospective species to be planted here in San Francisco!
