About the event
Join us for a virtual, hands-on botanical workshop with instructor Baylor Chapman. Using moss to create a living vase, kokedama is a traditional Japanese gardening technique dating back centuries. Simply translated 'kokedama' means 'moss ball.' Baylor will provide the instruction needed for attendees to create their own, unique kokedama selecting from an assortment of beautiful houseplants. Display these fun arrangements on tables or hang from string for your own little piece of serene nature, as featured in Baylor’s latest books, including Home Sweet Houseplant, Project Succulent, and Tabletop Gardens.
All materials will be provided for local pick-up the week of the workshop. We’re sorry that, at this time, we are not able to ship materials. Ticket price includes a houseplant and all materials needed to create your kokedama.
SFBG Members - please contact programs@sfbg.org for the member discount code for 10% off workshop fees.
