Give to the Gardens

Invest in the future of Gardens of Golden Gate Park today!

Dear Garden Members and Supporters,

People always ask me when the best time is to visit the Gardens. I have one answer: year round! Come see the magnificent magnolia collection in bloom at San Francisco Botanical Garden in late winter, enjoy the vibrant colors at the Japanese Tea Garden in the fall, and escape into the Conservatory of Flowers’ tropical oasis to beat the cold, foggy San Francisco summer. No matter when you visit, you’ll always find something beautiful in the gardens–from our diverse plant collections to our iconic sites.

We feel fortunate to be stewards of the Gardens and we hope you will join us by supporting these shared treasures with a gift today.

Your donation has real and meaningful impact on the Gardens and all who visit them. Your gift helps us ensure we can thrive now and into the future.

Making a gift today supports…

  • our commitment to caring for and growing the Gardens’ collections while expanding our plant conservation efforts;

  • offering lifelong learning and cultural events for all to enjoy, learn, and explore;

  • providing immersive educational experiences with the natural world through our youth education programs; and

  • improving our plant identification and signage to help people learn more about the Gardens’ collections.

As you know, this year has been an extraordinary time for the Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, and San Francisco Botanical Garden. Bringing together the three gardens under a unified public/private partnership, the Gardens of Golden Gate Park combines visitor experience, education, and engagement programs, creating one of the leading public gardens in the country.

Highlights of the year have been:

  • Free admission, already available at the Botanical Garden, became available at the Conservatory and Japanese Tea Garden for San Francisco residents and all veterans

  • Popular new multi-garden pass and membership – good for admission at all three sites

  • Full reopening of the Conservatory after the pandemic and enthusiastic response to corpse flower bloom

  • Restoration of the historic pagoda at the Japanese Tea Garden

  • Record-breaking visitation at the Botanical Garden
