Bookstore/Plant Shop

The Garden Bookstore and Plant Shop are excited to host a pop up at Gifts at the Garden and feature some of our favorite local authors and artists. Throughout Saturday and Sunday- we’ve invited local artists and writers to come out, talk about their work, and provide demonstrations or kid-friendly activities. We’ll have books for selling, authors for signing, artwork for hanging, and gifts for giving. All proceeds benefit the Garden and the local community of writers and artists that we support.

Featured Authors and Artists:

Sophie Diao awesome illustrator of Sarah and the Big Wave, I Am The Wind, and many more

Julia Rockwell is a sustainability expert and author of the new book Mothering Earth

Santiago Palacio is a printmaker, poet and painter currently working in Yosemite National Park and running @caminarte_print_press

JaNay Brown-Wood, PhD, is a children's author, poet, scholar, and educator. She’s written numerous award-winning children’s books including the delightful Where in the Garden series.

Emma Bland Smith is a librarian at the SF Botanical Garden Horticultural Library and the award-winning author of many books for children, including The Gardener of Alcatraz.

We’ll also be selling items from favorite botanical illustrator Karen Ko and wood engraver Steamer Lane Design.

We are no longer seeking Maker Applicants for the Market. Plant Societies and Plant Vendors who wish to be considered for vending may directly email jchan@gggp.org for application details.
