About the event

Introducing the Vallarta Botanical Garden (Jardin Botanico de Vallarta)—our sister garden in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

With the most-visited public collection of orchids in Mexico and 33 hectares of jungle to showcase the diversity and beauty of Mexico’s plant species, the Vallarta Botanical Garden is a magical escape. A short drive south of Puerto Vallarta, Founder and Curator Bob Price and team have assembled botanical collections and viewing trails that surprise your senses at every turn. Encounter bougainvillea, vanilla, cacao, magnolias and rhododendron, as you stroll the Garden’s colorful grounds. With butterflies and multiple species of hummingbirds competing for your attention, the Vallarta Botanical Garden comes to life!

The Vallarta Botanical Garden is also a trailblazer in conservation and has 16-year track record of preserving endangered habitat and protecting plant and animal species. Currently, the Garden is engaged in a land acquisition campaign to protect the surrounding tropical forest ecosystem and ensure species such as the ocelot and military macaw are not driven to extinction. With additional sponsorship and support, hundreds of hectares of forest could be protected from future development.
