Barbara Gregor grew up on organic farms in Iowa, Colorado, and Vermont, and has spent her adult life in Ithaca, Taipei, Shanxi, New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and San Francisco, working variously as a teacher, lawyer, and parent. Drawing teaches her to observe more carefully and patiently. That is at the heart of her volunteer work leading school groups on walks in the garden.
