Vi Strain is inspired by the magnificent forests in the San Francisco Botanical Garden. The California Buckeye tree is a favorite, and she has endeavored to reflect its essence in her art using colored pencils on film. She is a member of the Northern California Chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists.
